Avian Zebra?

Often called a ‘Zebra bird’, the striped Hoopoe is a rare coalition of features such as a curved beak like  the Sun Bird, a brown plumaged head and body like a Thrush, large boldly striped oval wings like a Woodpecker and a square tail with a white stripe.

The first sighting on most of our Morning Jeep Safaris at Kabini, is usually the Crested Serpent Eagle. A medium-sized raptor, the Crested Serpent Eagle is a little over two feet in length with lovely brown plumage across the upper part of its torso, reaching right up to its head.
