Natukodi Pulusu – country chicken curry andhra style



1.Country chicken – 800 gms
2.Lemon – 1/2 nos.
3.0nion (sliced)- 1 nos.
4.Green chillies (sliced) – 5 nos.
5.Curry leaves – as required
6.Oil- 2 tsp
7.Turmeric – 1 tsp
8.Salt as per taste
9.Red chilli Powder – 50gms
10.Turmeric powder – 1 tbsp
11.Coriander powder – 2 tbsp
12.Cumin powder – 2 tbsp
13.Garam masala powde – 1 tbsp
14.Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
15.Coriander fresh – 50 gms

For the Masala (grind and paste)
1.Jeera – 1/2 tsp
2.Cloves – 1/2 tsp
3.Pepper – 1/2 tsp
4.Elachi – 1/2 tsp
5.Khus khus – 1 tsp
6.Coriander – 1 1/2 tsp
7.Ginger garlic – 80gms
8.Tomato – 1 nos.
9.Red chilli – 4 nos



1.Clean the chicken and marinate with half of turmeric and chilli powder, lemon juice and salt
2.Heat oil – add curry leaves, green chilli, onions and saute. add marinated chicken and mix well
3.Add the grind masala and slow roast the chicken for 10 mins
4.Add the powder spices and mix
5.Add water and cook till done
6.Check for salt and finish with fresh coriander
