The morning safari began with expectations to find elephants feeding on the freshly sprouted grass after the previous night’s rain. But we were in for an unexpected spectacle.

Along side one of the tracks was a pack of wild dogs feeding on a kill. This pack of 5 invited us to view them finish up their meal.

They were almost done with their breakfast when some crows came to scavenge on the remains of the kill. One of the wild dog in particular was not very happy with the idea of sharing his meal, therefore he would stalk the crows and jump up to scare them all away.

The cheeky crows knowing the location of the wild dog would dare the dog to come as close as possible before taking of.

After watching the cat and mouse game for almost 15 minutes we let the wild dogs finish their meal in peace.
